My first San A show and I was not disapointed, some great matches and returns. Tony M., Palmer, Erin did a solid job for her first match as did Lillie in the match.
The 8 man tag was great even without Garza who made and impact later in the night anyway. All the Joshi matches were solid, my only real two compliants were the amount of interfernce this show had, alot of it by Darrin which I am sure he has good reasons for but as for now its just seems too much and the total disrepect Dell showed for Spiro and to a lesser effect Super E by haveing him lay down and lose.
I ended up sitting next to Barry and learned alot about various stuff including ACW. Didn't think I could like it more but I do. I am going to try and make all the San A shows now as well, I can always make the Austin shows, no problems. That was the first time since I've been into ACW where I felt like booing Mike Dell. I thought that match would end up being bogus, but I didn't imagine it would be that bogus.
Personally, I couldn't care less if Dell disrespects "Super E", as he's a goofball to me, but you don't diss a professional like Spiro like that.
That said...it does show what a huge set of balls Dell has for doing it; doesn't say much for his intelligence though - backing guys like that over Spiro. If this comes down to a feud between Spiro and Dell I'm really going to have to make a decision on who to cheer for. I like Dell, but I have huge respect for Sprio.
But hey, how about Khris Wolfe? I told you he had potential, and it seemed to me he responded to the feedback he was getting from the crowd. That match was awesome.

any one have thoughts on the opening match? Do you mean the opening pre-show match or the opening main show match, which was the 8-man tag?

Pretty good heel, the type who could be a total heel who is hostile toward the crowd. With work he could become a scary Jake Roberts type.
Face had a good look and personality that gets over well; the kind of face even a heel fan like myself could like (similar to ACH). I could see him being the type who takes a huge beating, then makes the heroic comeback, whether he wins the match or not. Kind of a Ricky Morton vibe.
I'd have to see more from them to come up with more. Worthy of continued opportunities in the promotion though.

Randy Cruzz would make a good tag partner for Brent Masters.

Now that I've had time to reflect on it I can see another side to the Electro/Spiro match.
Electro showed that he is a team player by taking the loss like that, and Dell was being a captain out there, which is something I've posted he should do.
The match sucked and it was a diss to Spiro, but maybe Spiro needs to refrain from having matches with teammates.
The bad thing is...it's Dell who has the history of letting down the team, not Spiro. Even so, if Dell is moving to change that, then it's on Spiro to put that in the past and move on to the future.
But I wish Dell would pick people other than someone like Electro to rebuild with.

I don't think the match sucked at all. We saw things out of both wrestlers that they do not normally show. The ending was bizarre in that it clearly leaves the issues unsettled, so I cannot make a complete judgement, but I was greatly enjoying the match the whole way through.

Complaints-----the damn bartenders at Hooligans were ridiculous. We heard Chingo i believe make a comment about taking their tip jar and then maybe they'd pay attention to us. Jeff the ref took the leap and it paid off. The 8 man was great. Gary Jay was awesome as usual....yada yada yada. i got my drinks pretty quick but then again im a regular. price wise they totally stomp mohawks. i had never seen that man people jammed into hooligans for a non ufc night. crowd was badass. didnt see to much of the old "venue" crowd but man what ever yall did to advertise it worked

I missed the opening preshow match due to starting out late wish I could have seen it.
Still not happy with the ending of the Spiro match but only cause of the end, Its a personal choice, not a big fan of either wrestler lying down.
As for the drinks...I think due to a comment from above they just did not think they were going to be that busy.

As for the drinks...I think due to a comment from above they just did not think they were going to be that busy. The one good thing I'll say about it was that I was amazed at how quick Spiro was with the top rope moves. For someone that size, it's unbelieveable the shape that guy's in. People around me were talking about it too.
But it was a bummer match for me. I can see how it could mean something later down the line and there were plenty of other good matches that night.
But that wasn't one of them.

As of right now if it comes down to Spiro versus Dell I back Dell.
Because Dell is making moves to maintain the order of the Takeover. Spiro is the one acting outside that now - even though he's right.
Doesn't mean my sentiments can't change on that, but that's where it stands right now.

Jacobs vs. Showtime was unreal. Greatest match I've seen in person. They both gave absolutely everything they had. Jacobs vs. Masada will be brutal and violent, and MUST happen at Mohawk!
Bravo's front flip Unprettier was very innovative.
The Main Event was controlled chaos from beginning to end. If Darin vs. Showtime happens the same night as Jacobs vs. Masada, it will be one of the best wrestling shows of the year.
