Darin - Could you give us some history of the German Blood Match? I'm not familiar with it.

^^ Check out Darin vs Steve Amos German Blood Match on YouTube. It has to do with saturating a towel with your opponents bloods.

Excellent! I like that Willie's coming back and I LOVE that JEN'S coming back!
Good to see Dingo coming to ACW on a regular basis too. His no-nonsense style is going to create some interesting dynamics with Athena. Will Athena be on the goofy side, or will she be straight-up bada__?
I'm going for...straight-up bada__. I think the goofy stuff is when Vega's around, and Dingo ain't Vega.
As much as I like Jen I look forward to seeing some tough stuff coming from Athena in this match.

Tony Morales?! Too bad I'm missing this one. Hope to see the Homicidal Halfbreed make his return to Austin soon.

Who will you cheer for? My picks:
Willie & Jen. Looking forward to the team of Dingo & Athena and I expect them to be no-nonsense bada__, but Jen's no slouch, and neither is Willie. I have to side with Willie & Jen, especially since I like them returning, but I expect this match to be a lot better than some might expect at first glance. I'm looking forward to this match, and I expect big things from it.
Slim over Hayze - At least for now. I like Highroller though, and I'm hoping Team Sex will soon turn their eyes toward the Submission Squad. Personally...I'd kind of like to see them get back with Slim, at least for that. Don't know if it's possible, but you need big time back up when you mess with the Subs.
Tag Team title match. Tough one, as all four teams are deserving of support. I really like RAJETT, but part of me wants to support the Sumrfs, at least one more time. It's going to be a toss-up for me, between those two teams. The deciding factor could be this though...A female team holding the straps would make for some very interesting challenges in the upcoming shows. Hmmmm...I may have just made up my mind.
Skelly over La Motta because...who cheers for La Motta? If Skelly comes to the ring with Darin I might change my mind though.
POISON!
ACH & Tozawa over the Manson twins.
Showtime & Masada in what I expect to be an extremely wild match over Pierrre & Gelistico.
Love Vexx, but with Palmer's new attitude, I'm sticking with him.
From the looks of this card I expect to see some wild action - Why?
There's lots of room for stepping out and show stealing here. Don't miss it, unless you absolutely have to.

I just looked at Rachel's twitter and saw the cool new RAJETT t-shirts she said they'll be selling at Hooligans.
That's it. I'm with RAJETT now.
Sorry, Smurfs.

A few initial thoughts.
The biggest impression I have is that I love how Lady Poison's in-ring style is evolving. Slow, methodical, and intense. I've compared her to Masada, and I'm ready to start comparing her to Robert Evans; as I believe she is developing the ability to completely control the tempo of a match. Poison is special - Keep your eye on her.
That said, her opponent, Amanda Fox, has nothing to be ashamed of. Show after show she is proving to be outstanding, and she definitely deserved that Rookie Of The Year award.
Was happy to see Highroller take the high road with Slim after the match.
Glad RAJETT are tag champs! This is going to make the tag title defenses very interesting, and with RAJETT going to other promotions it might give ACW more exposure as well.
Not only that, but now Jessica James holds TWO MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIPS! Hmmmm...
There's still the matter of one day having the first ever female top promotional champion. Something I would love to see in ACW.

Match of the night was ACH/Tozawa vs. Jay/Vega. That was on par with the best PWG, DGUSA, or ROH tag matches in 2010. "The Rush Hour Double Dragons" - Best tag team name ever.
I am so happy the Smurfs lost the belts, hopefully Bravo will ditch the excess baggage and become a real star. I see alot of potential in him, but only if he turns on the fans and Chingo. From what I've heard about Bravo's days as a fan, it sounds like he's good at talkin' shit.
In the Main Event, Pierre busted the top of his head "hardway" (sorry Barry, there was no other way to say it) taking the hiptoss into the chairs. I saw it up close, his head looked nasty! That match was a Street Fight without a street, just pure ANARCHY!

OK, the brief (if that word can be used for and ACW show) results are posted in the "Results" thread over on the "History" Board.
Just some personal observations:
Killah Kash (as he now wishes to be known) made a huge splash and revealed his more violent side in beating newcomer Bolt Brady in their match and then costing the Smurf Nation thier titles by attacking both men in the Tag Title Match.
We saw the return of not only Super-Electro, but also Black Rocker. This team was introduced as "La Fraternidad de las Luchas" - I have no idea if this team will return as a unit, nor am I ready to speculate on the identity of Black Rocker who has a very colorful history in ACW.
Big Ricky (Formerly Pope Luthor I) is now to be known by his full name Ricky Romida
Along with Bolt Brady, we also saw the debut of the tag team "Cali Crush" (Dax Daring & Jordan Jensen). These young men impressed in their debut, but were ultimately outmatched by the Takeover who continue in their campaign to intimidate smaller competitors.
Skylar Skelly continues to impress with his performances since returning to ACW with a win over JT LaMotta who seems to be obsessed with Rachel Summerlyn & Jessica James
Congratulations to New Tag Champs RaJett!
After being defeated in the German Blood Match, High-Roller Hayze expressed his pride in the sucess of Slim Sexy.
After Darin Childs was eliminated in the 3-Way Title Match, The Children of Pain (Khris Wolfe, Jason Silver & Sky de Lacrimosa attacked the other 2 men in the match)
After the tag match featuring ACH & Akira Tozawa ("The Rush Hour Double Dragons") and Submission Squad members Gary Jay and Davey Vega , a four way Young Guns Title Match was set up for the April 17th show in Austin.
Amanda Fox continued to impress but fell short in her title match with Lady Poison. Fox seems to have her eyes set on facing and pinning Serena Deeb for a second time at the 3rd American Joshi Tournament in June.
The Tag Match between Submission Squad members Abernathy & Gelistico vs. Masada & Summers was beyond words in terms of violence. I would be very interested in hearing the injury report resulting from this match.
Personal congratulations go out to ACW "Best of 2010" Award Winners announced during the show: Comeback of the Year - Shawn Vexx Match of the Year - ACH & Akira Tozawa (Young Guns Title Match 10-10-10) Rookie of the Year - Amanda Fox & Tag Team of the Year - The Submission Squad (Pierre Abernathy & Evan Gelistico)

I tend to disagree with you a bit on the Smurfs, but I feel about Berry the way you seem to about JC, being that I'm kind of glad he's on his own. I don't care whether he goes against the fans or not though.
There's a part of me that loves cheering for an underdog and watching him make it, and I've got Breeze picked as the one who can do that.
Do you see JC the same way? Could it be that we might end up cheering in opposition sometime soon down the line? ;D

Lots of people were booing on Skelly, but I got what he was doing and I thought it was pretty cool. Hope to see more of him in the future.
As cool as he was though, he's not as cool as Matthew Palmer.
'Cause nobody's as cool as Matthew Palmer.
(And don't go bringing up "Vega", ludevig. ;D)

r kI like Berry's ring-work, but he's never really done anything except be there. He's very forgettable as a character right now, I mean does he even have a character or gimmick or at least one catchphrase or quote? He has always impressed me in the ring, there's just something missing. While JC probably isn't as solid a ring-worker as Berry,(my opinion) he has got that little something that Breeze dosen't.

I see what you're saying and it could be a generational thing, but Berry reminds me a LOT of some of the hometown favorite guys I watched in Florida wrestling growing up. We're talking 70's-early 80's here, and guys like Mike Graham, Steve Keirn, Scott McGhee, and early Barry Windham, Terry Allen, & Ron Simmons. I guess what I'm saying is that I see a lot of old school in Berry, and that's why I like him.
So I guess on this one we willl be cheering in opposition, as I plan on backing Berry all the way to the top of the roster.
Where Berry Breeze seems old school to me JC Bravo seems like the exact opposite of that, so...That could be an interesting feud down the line.
Oh yes - Book it, Darin.
