I just want to talk a little bit about myself, Brandon Oliver, RCW, and the INDYS in San Antonio:
As some of you may know, my name is Steve...Tommy's "voice of reason"(afraid he might go ape on Dalton someday...). Unfortunately...my very first Indy event was PWI...back in 1998-1999...back when Biohazard wasn't as buff as he is today...and looked like RVD. We heard of this place from Jaykus, since he was friends with my older brother from High School. I don't remember the entire event, but I do remember it was in the back of this garage on S.W Military...near going towards the mall. After that show, we had tried to go back to their next show...3 months later...which happened t b cancelled. So ever since then, we haven't seen the 3rd or 4th incarnation of PWI
Fast forward a few years, and it's late 2002-early 2003 when I discovered RCW. My brother and I came across RCW on the Public Access Channel. We had planned to go to the joint show with All-Japan Pro Wrestling...Texas Explosion 2003...but we missed it. We did go to their next show in Feb. where the main event was RCW Champion Jeromy Sage (great talent...too bad he doesn't wrestle any longer) vs. TNA's Lance Hoyt (known as Shadow in Texas). After that event......RCW went on hiatus for the first time.
A little time after that, I had kept looking back at the RCW website for more events, when in June 2003, they anounced doing a joint show with ETW...today known as TWE. The crowd was dead, and the guys working their were decent enough for good matches. This was the first time I was introduced to guys like Showtime Summers, Mike Dell, Darin Childs, Jacob Ladder, Don Juan, Big Dogg, Spector, and some guy named Gabe Roach who was the "traitor" of TWE,andwas made RCW Champ. The shows were weird, as every show the RCW Title was on the line and if TWE guys would beat Roach (which they never did) they would throw the belt in the trash. To make a long story short, their feud only lasted two months, and RCW was dead...for the second time.
I am sure everyone has heard to horrid of attending a TWE show, but let me give the Dummies version. Shows never started when they were suppose to, people Really Big Goat or Dumpy (my bro's nickname fo him) booked never showed, and events lasted over an hour and a half at most. The talent was good, and yet the regular talent was never awarded the Heavyweight Title. Kazushi Miyamoto was a great worker, and wish he would come to ACW sometime, but other than that Mike Fox was always champion. After over 2 years of abuse, my family and I were tired of TWE, and heard about RCW returning.
Now here's something I wantd to get out there. During the whole time we were gong to TWE, I was talking with Brandon Oliver on occasion, hoping he would bring back RCW. So when the time came that he was coming back, I went ot of my way to help get the word out. I used my own resources to print up hundreds of flyers of the shows, and posted them all over SAC. I had believed that RCW was going to bring "wrestling" back to San Antonio. And they did at first, hell a lot of the ACW fans were RCW fans. I dont want to go through a history lesson, as most of us were there. RCW was bring the quality of wrestling San Antonio deserved, having bringing great talent like LAX, Amazing Red, etc. However...once they started doing stupd things like making JT Lamotta run around in a dress really pissed me off. When they started watering down the product and quality of wrestling, I felt betrayed as a fan. Then I believed I made the right decision by going to an ACW show.
My first ACW show just happened to be Sunday Bloody Sunday...and after that show, I sat there and wondered...WTF! Why wasn't I going since the first show in Dec.? After that show, I said "THIS IS WHAT WRESTLING IS SUPPOSE TO BE LIKE! THIS IS WHAT SAN ANTONIO HAS BEEN MISSING!" And unlike RCW, ACW has been putting on quality shows every single time.
I just wanted to get this out there, because I am a "Wrestling Fan" not "Sports Entertainment" fan...and Im proud to cal ACW my hometown promotion. Thanks all!
Steve
I won't be able to make the show tonight, I just got called into work 2 mins. ago, but good luck to everyone tonight!

I want to ban the name RCW and any company affiliated with them to be mention on this board. I apologize if my history lesson offended you, but that's how I feel. I wanted to add so much more, but had to go to work that day. There really is no need for me to add anything but this: ACW is San Antonio, ACW is Pro Wrestling, ACW is what Texas needs. That is all I was trying to point out.
