How Exciting!
Gonna be the first show I miss since El Paso March 2008. I was hoping to break the record for most shows in a row.

I don't get it; Are you saying she's going there? Or is she still appearing for us in ACW?

But I notice we often have shows when TNA has shows. Does that hurt ACW getting some of those ladies for Joshi matches? Since it seems they're more flexible to compete than ladies on the WWE roster (I don't think we're likely to see Maryse or Melina anytime soon - wink-nudge if that's possible, by the way). r k

we run against televised PPV's every months. very few people order TNA ppvs and WWE doesn't do very well. we don't run against The Rumble or Mania. On December 13th WWE is presenting it's TLC PPV in San Antonio, Texas. we don't want fans to have to choose between an ACW live event and a WWE live event.
WWE talent is exclusive to WWE. TNA Talent is free to work Indies.

Any chance of the first Joshi defense being top of the bill?

Any chance of the first Joshi defense being top of the bill? r k no matches have been announced for 12-20 yet. only a few of the confirmed talents, The banners are for the two national talents that have been announced. Rachel Summerlyn has main-evented several shows in ACW. we would never shy away from main-eventing an ACW event with a Joshi match. In fact October 18th is definitely headlined by the Joshi Tag match. as for what will go on last is really up to circumstance.

I always blame WWE.... not just for wrestling related mishaps, but pretty much for all the troubles in the world.

I always blame WWE.... not just for wrestling related mishaps, but pretty much for all the troubles in the world. who doesn't? that's what makes the former CEO Linda McMahon a perfect fit as a dirty politician. it's all their fault anyway. DUB DUB E! DUB DUB E! DUB DUB E! DUB DUB E! DUB DUB E! actually, when you lose as many viewers as WWE and especially TNA has recently it is safe to say wrestling doesn't have as much influence to ruin the world as it once did. so not EVERYTHING is their fault. most of it is actually Family Guy's fault.

One good thing about wrestling though - It always comes back. It is truly entertainment for "The People". I'm hoping with groups like this one we might see strong territories again.
Who wants to see Randy Orton vs. John Cena again???

sounds like it could be a cool card.. One thing though is these bar's are too fucking small for a wrestling show. It's not as awesome as it was before or as hard hitting when the wrestlers had a lot of room to move around (e.g. Rex Reed Vs. Violent V. Vs. Drew Lucid from Keep Austin Weird a great example of acw's great extreme action)
I would seriously consider moving this show and future Austin shows to back to the dove or another rec center otherwise the extreme hardcore matches don't look to awesome in such a tight capacity squeezed space. Either that or find a warehouse. Wrestling itself doesn't belong in bar's. as Chris Jericho said he'd never fight in one again.

What an ominious post. Good thing we aren't trying to book Chris Jericho. We love Mohawk and intend to stay there for the foreseeable future. the rec center had a horrible vibe and the shows suffered for it.

Gotta agree with you on that one, Ive always loved the enclosed feeling at the shows. you get a really good vibe going. the rec center was to big. my fav 3 venues yall have ran at would be course the venue, emos and mohwaks.

For what it's worth I like the outdoor shows at the Mohawk; it has a "different" feel to it, and it seems the guys find plenty of room to be hardcore.
And it feels more like you as an audience member are part of the action. I like the ambience of everyone yelling and getting crazy, with the street sounds of sirens and bands playing in the background, as well.
ACW at the Mohawk is a real cool night of wrestling, if you ask me. Are you sure Chris Jericho wasn't talking about some tightly squashed situation in an indoor bar? That seems like it might be kind of rough.

hhmmm.... brawling into the crowd and the street... jumping off walls and balconies.... chairshots and table busting....tacks and barbwire bats.... i guess there is no room for "extreme or hardcore" at the Mohawk..oh wait, there is..... was Matthew Palmer getting dropped on his head and thrown through the air onto a ladder a time or two not "hard hitting"?
besides, there is no curfew hanging over our heads or all the restraints that were at the rec center. and its a place where there are people around, not out in the middle of nowhere. When i was packing my stuff up into the car, some people walking by were saying how they hear the wrestling going on and it seems like a fun time just hearing it so they plan on going.... dont get that at the rec center.

Im not Saying im just saying In part 2 of that show, starting about minute 4, there's a segment shot in San Antonio that ends up in a brawl outside the ring with Terry Funk & Steve Austin. I was at that show. I even got to carry Terry Funk's bag up the stairs to his car. He was so nice, when I asked if I could take his picture, he made his wife take the photo so I could be in it with him. If I ever find that picture again, I'll post it.

how strange, that so much of this thread has been about something other than the upcoming show, and yet still remains true to the name of the show:
"Delusions of our Childish Days"
oddly appropriate
