I wasn't blowing smoke, the crowd showed up in the mood to have a great time and everyone in the ring responded. I don't think that 10% of the people at the mohawk left before Shawn Vexx's hand was raised in victory. That type of committment to a show that was well over 4 hours impressed the hell out me. These shows are wrestling magic; everyone involved gets it.
And the next time they ask tell 'em Knoxville's in Tennessee, and they're welcome to go there. ;D

And as a fan of The Takeover and Mike Dell, it's been my opinion all along that Dell should've brought one of the Joshis over to his group, and here's why:
Dell's group was undone by too much ego. Basically he had one super badass (Spiro), and a bunch of other guys all out for themselves. Incredibly talented guys, but guys out for themselves.
Having one of the lady contenders in the group would give everyone (including Dell) someone to rally around. There's no way a bunch of men are going to rally around another man, especially in a competitive environment like this, for long.
I believe a female influence would've been the glue that held The Takeover all the way through the next year.
r k That may very well be true. I have noticed most groups having more then 2 guys tends to fall to Ego sooner rather then later. You want the really talented guys but they all have their own goals and when the leader has the heavyweight belt his goal is usually to keep it come hell or high water.
A women might have helped bring down the ego a bit. Ah...Chris Wolfe...Yes that match could have been much better, the rant by spiro after was the part I remember sadly...
I hope your goal works out. I think Wolfe can be much better.

and because i forgot, the Rev and Erin Star did a good job involving the crowd. Erin did a good job, just needs some better snappy comebacks otherwise you did a good job keeping the crown riled and into the match.
I was impressed and she always is willing to take a bump in the matches trying to help Garza..

Of all the personalities in ACW I can think of, Junior Garza is the only one who personifies pure, unadulterated menace.
That's why I like him. He is ACW's Raven.

I hope your goal works out. I think Wolfe can be much better. Spiro is a guy you can't beat but you CAN earn respect by standing up to. For Khris Wolfe that ass-beating could've been an opportunity. He chose instead to lay on the mat.
I still see good things for him; he has what it takes. But it's going to take some good verbal scrutiny from ringside to bring that out, and that's something I plan to do with how I cheer as a fan. There's no reason he can't be in the upper tier by the end of 2010 if he pulls his head out of his ass.
As for Dell - One word: Athena.

r k I can see how it can be taken that way..though he doens't seem to have the charisma yet that Raven has or had..but given some time and a following for a bit I can see him doing so.

r k I wish you the best of luck on that goal, and I hope Wolfe realzies that 2010 could be a great year for him. Hmmmm..Athena hmmm....Could fit into the Takeover..whatever form it ends up in..I suppose Spiro is soon going to cut times but it sounded like Super E was part of it now as is Evans still at this point...Wonder who else might be included.

Portia was robbed!
I don't know how, but I'm sure it happened.

Portia was robbed! I don't know how, but I'm sure it happened. I'm in the Portia camp and not the Rachel camp, but give credit where it's due Rachel did legitmately win the belt in a good match. HOWeverrr...
The screwing came about with Darin's interference with the stipulations where Portia was allowed to choose her own referee, which was Robert Evans. Was Evans being referee fair? No, but it was agreed that Rachel would face Portia in the match of Portia's choosing.
That did not happen. Rachel did win the belt, but the agreed-to terms were not followed in good faith by all.
A rematch is seriously in order.

I can't wait for the Vexx/One Tan Mike Dell rematch. And i missed Centerfold. I heard he is injured, i hope he won't be out too long. Athena could be good for the mix. She has the body and she oozes heelness, so i think that could be a good pairing as well. I don't see Portia in the group, and any of the other ladies don't seem to fit as well in the Takeover/Full House/Whatever it will be called in the next promo group. I am however looking forward to Dell being out of the title picture for at least a while, giving him an opportunity to feud with anyone in the federation.

Like it or not, he was not a team player. Yes, I like him too, but he was not a team player.
For that matter...neither was Mike Dell. The only team player in that group was Spiro all along and for that he should be rewarded.
I think Dell should start the whole group from scratch, keeping himself, Spiro, and two or three new additions one of which being Athena.
Neither Palmer nor Evans belonged in that group from the start, and that was where Dell started pissing Spiro off in the first place. Dell needs to be the quarterback and let others carry the ball. That said, I hope Dell reads the "open letter" I posted elsewhere on this forum.
p.s. - Portia Perez in the Takeover would be a big mistake. That's like another Robert Evans. Athena is definitely the way to go.

Yeah, i always felt that Evans and Palmer didn't fit. The comedy angles they run are great, but not fitting for a "heel" team like the Takeover. Can't wait for the madness that will ensue on the 21st in SA. Not to mention Lamada/Dell.....

as for the Takeover:
Robert Evans has given zero indication he has left the takeover....OR Full House.
Spiro is also still contractually aligned with the takeover, although there is obviously trouble in paradise.
Super-Electro joined the Takeover on 11-16-09 by attacking Colt Cabana. Electro was sent away for repairs, but was seen carrying Mike Dell's bags following Guilty By Association.
Matthew Palmer is out of the Takeover and out of action for 6-8 months. He will be back in ACW and I assume gunning for Mike Dell when he is cleared to return.
Mike Dell is a sexist pig, I wouldn't hold your breathe for a female member of the Takeover.
also...Robert Evans & Matthew Palmer filled the void left by the exiting Rory Fox. Mike Dell has ALWAYS surrounded himself with obnoxious comedic sidekicks. anyone who knows Dell knows that he is always surrounded by crazies. he attracts freaks. anyone remember The Golden Fox-a-Dellics?
