The 4th Annual Lone Star Classic November 15th, 2009 "Mohawk" Austin, Texas
Match #1 – Matthew Palmer defeated Davey Vega and Arik Cannon in a first round 3-way dance. Extremely fast paced lucha based match. Matthew Palmer spent most of the match laying on the ring apron nursing his ribs that were originally injured by Scot Summers in August and re-aggravated when he missed a dive early in this match, landing ribs first on the stage. Palmer crawled up top and eliminated Davey Vega following a centerfold splash and quickly thereafter hit a mind trip on Cannon for the 1-2-3 to advance to the Semi-finals of the 2009 Lone Star Classic.
Match #2 – “The Underground Icon” Scot Summers defeated JC Bravo and Evan Gelistico in a first round 3-way dance. JC Bravo scored a schoolboy style roll-up on Evan Gelistico as he was focused on Scot Summers to eliminate “The Midnight Coyote”. Gelistico then snapped and laid out both competitors including several piledrivers to Scot Summers on a steel chair. With both men beaten down, a now bloody Summers hit a spear out of desperation and fell with an arm draped on top of Bravo to pick up a hard fought win and a spot in the semi-finals.
Match #3- Jaykus Plisken defeated Spiro and Chingo Smurf in a first round 3-way dance. Chingo Smurf had a strong showing, but was forced to submit at the hands of Jaykus Plisken via The Prey for Death early on. Spiro and Jaykus Plisken went toe-to-toe, catch as catch can and wore each other down in a very brutal exchange of strikes. Jaykus Plisken scored the victory with an inside cradle to advance in the tournament. Following the match, Junior Garza (whom was replaced by Chingo due to an apparent no-show) attacked Jaykus Plisken’s leg with a steel chair and left Jaykus Plisken limping into the Semi-finals.
Match #4 – Robert Evans defeated Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana and Pierre Abernathy to win the U-30 Championship in the final first round 3-way dance. Three of the most charismatic wrestlers to ever set foot in ACW didn’t disappoint as they played a game of “top this” using the devastating low blow as their weapon of choice. Colt Cabana eliminated Pierre Abernathy with a quick pin following a bit of a distraction from the referee. Quick to take advantage, Robert Evans started a quick exchange of pinfalls and came out on top following a modified victory roll on Cabana.
Match #5 – Darin Childs, ACH, Skylar Skelly & Berry Breeze defeated Rachel Summerlyn, The Rolling Stoned & El Hijo De Jack O Lantern in the annual Skylar Skelly Drinking Game. The object of the game is for the fans in attendance to take a drink every time a competitor hits a specified move. The move chosen for this match was a step-up enzuigiri, and they were hit in a high volume. This match also involved a special appearance from the entire Smurf Nation and even an ACW Cameraman got involved. Every competitor was flying around in a very fast paced match, full of excitement. ACH earned the win for his team when he hit his signature splash on problems.
Match #6 – Scot Summers defeated Matthew Palmer in the Semi-Finals of the 2009 Lone Star Classic. Both men came in clearly injured. Mathew Palmer’s injured Ribs vs. Scot Summers’ injured neck was the focus of this brutal affair. These two men were fighting for their lives and they both seemed more violent than we’ve ever seen before. Matthew Palmer looked borderline psychotic at points. Palmer and Summers destroyed each other and the hard-to-watch ending came when Palmer (and then the fans) filled the ring with chairs, as Palmer went up to hit the centerfold splash, Scot Summers hit a desperation superplex on the huge pile of chairs and laid across Palmer to survive and advance to the finals of The Lone Star Classic. This match was the epitome of Anarchy, a definite match of the year candidate.
Match #7 – Jaykus Plisken defeated Robert Evans in the Semi-Finals of the 2009 Lone Star Classic and became the new U-30 Champion. Jaykus Plisken was sporting an obvious limp following Junior Garza’s earlier attack. Robert Evans stood man to man with Jaykus Plisken and was all but obliterated by a plethora of high impact maneuvers. Robert Evans proved that he was much more than a smiling faced comedy act, he was a legitimate world-class fighter. A star was born during this match in Robert Evans. Plisken was too much on this night as he won via The Prey for Death to Advance to the Lone Star Classic Finals
Match #8 – The ACW Heavyweight Champion “One Man” Mike Dell defeated “The Intrepid Traveler” Paul London to retain the Championship. Many are saying that this was a career-defining match for Mike Dell. Paul London won his hometown crowd over from the start with an entrance that only Paul London could make, as he showed up in full astronaut garb. This match was different from anything seen all night, as this was a meeting of the minds. Both men used clever reversals, intelligence and cunning to fight a war of human chess. Dell and London battled in a very even match up that came to an abrupt end as Mike Dell reversed a victory roll and grabbed the ropes to steal the victory and retain the belt. After the match London challenged Mike Dell for five more minutes to determine a true winner, Dell declined. Paul London definitely believes that he should be the ACW Heavyweight Championship, and most are hard pressed to disagree.
Match #9 – Shawn Vexx Defeated Gary Jay, Masada & JT Lamotta in the #1 contender 1-fall to a finish 4-way match. Pure chaos. All four competitors brawled across the building and basically tore The Mohawk apart. Early on, Masada took out almost every ringside chair using JT Lamotta’s body. Shawn Vexx and Gary Jay seemed focused on each other as they have a huge history in ACW. Shawn Vexx scored the upset victory when he caught Gary Jay with the Psycho Driver while Masada and Lamotta were laid out on the floor. Shawn Vexx won the right to face Mike Dell for the ACW Heavyweight Championship at Guilty By Association 4 on January 17th, 2010.
Match #10 – “The Underground Icon” Scot Summers defeated Jaykus Plisken to win the 2009 Lone Star Classic and the U-30 Championship. A war of attrition. These two fought like two caged and injured animals. These former tag team partners showed a great deal of sportsmanship early, respecting each other’s injuries. As with any war the sportsmanship subsides, as the men get closer to victory. Both men were completely spent as Jaykus Plisken stormed the corner in a last ditch effort and was caught by Scot Summers with a superkick. Summers fell onto Plisken and got the pinfall victory. Scot Summers won the U-30 Championship which made him the 1st Grand Slam Champion in ACW by winning every non-gender specific championship. Scot Summers now has a guaranteed Championship shot at anytime he sees fit.

Peace, Love & Anarchy 2010 April 18th, 2010 "Mohawk" Austin, Texas
Pierre Abernathy, Evan Gelistico, Gary Jay, Junior Garza & Athena defeated JC Bravo, Khris Wolfe, James Claxton, Just Willie & Lillie Mae
Following the match the Submission Squad of Pierre Abernathy Challenged The Smurf Nation to a Texas Bullrope match for the ACW Tag Team Championship Belts.
Scot Summers & Jerry Lynn defeated The Dynasty of Perfection, Slim Sexy & Chris Conine, Nathan Sinn & Danny Gee and Vince Vile & Brother Luther w/ Reverend Kevin Danger
This started as a tag team 4-way dance until Summers & Lynn hit the ring and destroyed and pinned all 4 teams. After their victory, Lynn & Summers declared themselves the greatest tag team in ACW history as well as sending a message to Darin Childs.
Darin Childs Submitted Matt Fitchett w/ Brent Masters
Childs used much of Scot Summers’ patented offence including using a choke-out to defeat the young highflyer, Matt Fitchett
ACH pinned Awesome Andy
This was scheduled to be the 4-way dance for the vacant U-30 Championship. Robert Evans came to the ring to announce that ACH was no longer going to battle for the U-30 Championship as he was going to be facing an opponent of Evans Choice. Awesome Andy returned to ACW by attacking ACH from behind which lead to an impromptu match. ACH squeaked out a win, but was then demolished by an intense Awesome Andy.
Portia Perez beat Jessica James
Portia Perez was accompanied to the ring by Robert Evans & Super-Electro. Following Perez’ win, the power couple “Perevans” closed in for their first kiss as Davey Vega’s music hit leading into our next match.
Robert Evans defeated Davey Vega to win the previously vacant U-30 Championship for the 3rd time.
Before the night began this match was announced as Evans vs. Vega vs. Chingo vs. ACH. ACH was injured by Awesome Andy earlier in the night & Davey Vega announced that Chingo had “car trouble” which leads one to assume the Submission Squad may have a little bit to do with Chingo’s absence.
Jerry Lynn & Scot Summers defeated Masada & Jaykus Plisken
Jerry Lynn pinned The World Hardcore Champion Masada. This match gave you everything you’d expect, great mat wrestling, insane submissions & barbwire. All 4 men brought an extremely high level of intensity. Definite “big match feel”.
Mike Dell won a 3-way Dance by eliminating both Matthew Palmer & Spiro
The Mohawk crowd erupted for the return of “The Centerfold” Matthew Palmer who was injured on December 20th by Mike Dell. Dell pinned Spiro via questionable means, which started a war of words between the two. As Palmer was about to capitalize, Spiro reluctantly helped Dell get the victory. The Palmer vs. Dell war is far from over as are the issues between Dell & Spiro.
Rachel Summerlyn retained the American Joshi Championship against Daizee Haze
This was an incredible back and forth match-up between two of the most talented female wrestlers in the country. Daizee Haze was making her first appearance in ACW since winning the inaugural American Joshi Queen of Queens Tournament on June 21st, 2009. Summerlyn finished off Haze with a Gory Bomb seemingly out of nowhere. This match could have gone either way.
Shawn Vexx retained the ACW Heavyweight Championship by defeating JT Lamotta
JT Lamotta was clearly affected by the not overly supportive crowd & it may have been his downfall. As Shawn Vexx was celebrating his victory, Junior Garza attacked him from behind. Standing over Vexx, Garza removed his jacket to reveal the name of his younger brother Julio Garza that was forced out of ACW for 12 months at Nothing is as Real as a Dream on May 17th, 2009.
Peace, Love & Anarchy (along with every ACW Home Video Release) will be available from SmartMarkVideo.com in the upcoming weeks.
