Regarding Portia Perez...
She claimed last night that Rachel is the number one contender. Athena beat Rachel twice in one day at Hooligans, and Rachel still didn't beat her last night.
While Poison vs Portia is the BIG match I'd like to see, Athena vs Portia is a pretty close second.
r k Yeah she also claimed Erin Star was a number one contender....I am pretty sure she is delusional & making stuff up as it goes along....clearly Clearly, Not. Erin was number one contender Portia won the Queen of Queens, therefore defeating all others joshis in the tournament by default. Erin was not in the tournament so It was her shot, Portia is not delusional by any means and is a fair and honest fighting champion, Amanda Fox or Jen Alise should be up next so she can finish clearing out the division. And aim for bigger and better things U-30 Canadian Joshi Champion has a nice ring to it.

clearly Portia needs a stay at the Texas state mental hospital I object! Why should the tax payers of Texas foot the bill for a Canadian?

Yeah Plisken was a badass last night. So hoping for someone to try and attack him after his match (not really, but....) Also, i have figured out Jessica's secret.....

clearly Portia needs a stay at the Texas state mental hospital Crazy like a fox. These bogus title defenses keep her title from being declared vacant.
That's o.k., like I said the day will come soon enough when she can't hide anymore, and the Joshi division is heating up in the process.

I'd like to see that match, for a different reason. I don't know if we've seen more than a glimpse of Figueroa. I don't know if he can beat Plisken, but with the S.L.A.K. on his side, Joey might surprise people. But then again, I don't see Plisken losing another match until he gets what he's looking for.

One thing I've noticed lately is that Robert Evans, ACH & MASADA are main event level talent, while some stars who are at the main event level shouldn't be.

With guys like Mike Dell departing the company, Jerry Lynn being injured, Shawn Vexx being injured & a lot of other stuff, spots opened up at the top and it is a bit of trial and error. Summers, Lamotta, Plisken & myself have been in the main events since literally the beginning. ACH, Evans, Masada, Palmer, Summerlyn, Perez & all the members of the Submission Squad are sure-fire main-eventers. Skylar Skelly's return is a huge boost to the main event scene. those who haven't seen Skelly's matches in the early days of ACW have a lot to look forward to. truth is, a lot of "bigger companies" are actively plucking the ACW roster which has allowed/forced us to freshen up the roster. Talents such as Flippy Sh!t, The Lost Boys, Amanda Fox, Slim Sexy, Just Willie & The Smurf Nation, etc. will quickly find their way & be remembered the same way Mike Dell, Lamotta & Scot Summers will be. its all about evolution...The Evolution of the Revolution...

Well for one that Heavyweight title match Sunday was not even close to as good as the U-30 title match. It seems like apart from a few shows (May & Aug 22nd) there are better matches on the under-card than the main event.

Personally, I like a strong undercard. It may appear sometimes that performers on the undercard are working extra hard to elevate themselves, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're ready for the top tier. For example, I disagree that ACH is top tier.
Mike Dell for instance wrestled matches that weren't as flashy or violent as some other guys, but his matches (and him, personally) had a depth to them.
That's what puts you on the top tier - Depth.

The new additions to the roster this year have turned out great. The Main Event scene already is evolving and we have been seeing individuals pulling out match of the year matches when given an opportunity (examples - Fitchett when he faced Robert Evans, Davey Vega when he faced Masada, ACH when he faced Masada etc) The current headliners Scot Summers, JT Lamotta, Jaykus Plisken and Masada have been consistent over the year when injuries or other circumstances happened while Robert Evans, The Submission Squad, Matthew Palmer, ACH have all stepped up their games respectively while Athena, Amanda Fox have more than added to the Joshi Division while Portia Perez, Rachel Summerlyn and Jessica James have helped not just sustain the Division but helped it grow and become more known outside of Texas. Also the addition of Highroller Hayze and Slim Sexy from XWO has been a huge boost as i would have to say hands down that Slim has came out of the starting blocks with a wave of fan support from day one while Hayze has been the thorn in his side since day one. The return of Roc Hardway may be some time away but when he returns the tag team scene will get the return of Team SEX as well. The tag team scene in ACW is fantastic as there are several regular actual Tag Teams working. The Submission Squad, Gary Jay and Davey Vega, The Lost Boy, Flippy Shit, New Church, Smurf Nation, Perevans, Rachel and Jessica's Excellent Tag Team. For an Independent company in this day and age to have 8 established Tag Teams is phenomenal. I see ACW not just growing but standing strong and setting standards on how to put on a great show and also how to get the best out of the people in the ring and out of it. Everyone behind the scenes i take my hat off too as well from Becca and Rufus to Biss, what you guys all do at the shows helps us enjoy the shows even more and i applaud everyone's hard work because everyone BELIEVES in ACW (and trust me it has been so hard to believe in a Wrestling company for such a long time that ACW has refuelled my own personal passion for Wrestling again in a HUGE way)

For example, I disagree that ACH is top tier. r k
ACH is most definitely ready for the main event. The guy oozes charisma & he's great in the ring. His match against Robert Evans was the best match of the night and his post-match promo was hands down the best I've ever seen in ACW. He put the U-30 title over huge, so much so that it almost seems more important the ACW Heavyweight title at this point. Jaykus Plisken's promo was great, too. I believed he meant every word. He propelled himself to the forefront as ACW's top heel with that one. Looking forward to him destroying guys he deems unworthy of calling themselves "wrestlers". Guys like Robert Evans & "Centerfold" Matthew Palmer are knocking on the main event door as well. I feel like they need to start mixing it up with the ACW "upper-tier". Of course, "Showtime" Scott Summers is the ACW gold standard. If there is a better wrestler in Texas, I'd like to know. The guy should be known nationally.

It's my opinion that some of the best "main events" are when an up-and-comer or lower card person is put in the top match (and I believe we saw an example of it on Sunday).
I'm not saying ACH won't be at the top of the list, just that I don't see him there yet.
He has a way to go.

I'll say this - The first time I went to an ACW show was Queen of Queens '09.
The only reason I was interested was to see an all ladies tournament. However, the first match I saw was the multi-tag with the Smurfs, and from that point on I knew it was a promotion worth paying attention to. I hadn't been interested in wrestling since ECW in the mid-late '90's.
ACW is the only wrestling I've seen since then that equals that, and even improves on it (ECW never did womens' wrestling very good).
And ECW was the only thing that got me interested since I drifted away in the mid '80's. I go back to Florida wrestling in the 70's, and Bob Backlund's WWF.
I consider ACW to be in that lineage.
