In the time I've watched ACW I've seen Masada in some great matches. One thing I've noticed though is that every opponent he's had has at least some degree of caution and apprehension about being there. Think about how Lynn reacted when Showtime called out "Book it Darin!" for this match.
Not even the slightest hint of nerves. Lynn is the kind of living legend who knows he is, knows why he is, and doesn't need to brag about it.
A Masada match can change a man's life - This match will change Masada's life.

Sadly this match may never happen, I read Lynn would retire if he required back surgery. The column I read this is in is usually pretty dead-on.

He's a fighter, if he WANTS to return to wrestling as an in-ring performer he will. If he doesn't, every company should hire Jerry as an "agent".

To perform the style of wrestling at the level he does at 47 years old is incredible. If JL can overcome a bicycle attack from Big Bubba, nothin' can stop him.

r k Great points. Its pretty crazy that in this match MASADA would almost be considered an underdog.

I have to admit I wasn't bowled over immediately by the idea of this one but the more I thought about it the more I realized....
This match would(/will) be great in a whole lot of ways. Yes, I hope it happens.

If this match happens I believe it would be the first time Masada faces a man who KNOWS he can beat Masada - That's the difference.
If it doesn't, if Jerry retires, well...I for one wish him all the best moving forward. That man has given many years of great service and memories to the wrestling public.
