We have been wanting to for ages, and after seeing this card there is no way we would miss an opportunity to see what will probably be the show of the year...

Unbelieveable show. Went till almost 12, everyone had a good time.
Too many great matches to even start picking which is better. My pick for match of the night however...
Was Poison/Portia. Everything I wanted it to be, including a new Joshi champ. The Poison Era begins.
Palmer over Evans in an extremely dramatic finale.
Great matches by everyone. I also liked Rachel/Athena, Dingo/Tozawa, everything was awesome.
Berry being out of the Smurfs wasn't awesome though. Hated seeing Berry being the one put out like that. Maybe we'll see more singles action from him though.
And Ludevig - I cheered for Vega, just like I promised.

Lady Poison was God-Freaking Off-The-Chart INTENSE!
I've said it here before and there's no doubt whatsoever...
Lady Poison is the best thing going in wrestling. She IS the ACW Phenom.

And this is also for Ludevig - Vega won.
Yes, he pinned Paul London.

Wish I could've made it out to this one. By all accounts it sounds like it lived up to and surpassed the hype and amazingly stacked card.
Big fan of Athena & JJ/Poison, glad to see them victorious.
rk - what was the finish to Palmer/Evans?

Evans duct taped upside down in the turnbuckles...Palmer pours gasoline all over him...Palmer steps back, lights a match...
Oh, and before this happened...Palmer duct taped Evans's mouth shut so Evans couldn't say "I quit".
Well, you asked...
Palmer has definitely become my kind of wrestler. I'm behind him 100% now.

Great show as always, one of the best. I was very glad the weather didn't stop the show even though we know nothing can stop an ACW show.
Does anyone know what Paul London's entrance song was?

And, yes folks...
Portia bled tonight.
That being said let me say it now that this woman is just as deserving of your respect as she is your hatred.

r k In fact, I want to point out Portia's performance.
Yes, Poison was malice personified, but Portia came across as the kind of frightened that makes a person dangerous. It's the kind of thing that's not easy to do right, and she did it right. Portia was extremely bada__ last night. She's in the running for Best Heel Ever in my book.

Ludevig - Here's something you'll like...
There was a moment in the match where London came flying off the ropes and Vega caught him in midair and suplexed him.
Suplexed him from midair.
Get this DVD.

Zuh Zuh Zuh Zuh. Good to see Mohawk staff throwing the trash out of the building. A good show that went extremely late. My favorite match was probably Tozawa Dingo as well. Tozawa is just gaining so much momentum in ACW, and the crowd always goes ballistic during his matches. Biohazard apparently cares about no one anymore...ever since his heel turn, he has been dropping people on their heads like it's going out of style. Other than that, a fun night....anyone else drained today? 6 hours is a lot of wrestling show

Cant wait to see this show on DVD Everyone involved in the show added to it.
In the Portia/Poison match Jeff The Ref was having trouble getting the dog collar on Portia. At one point Portia started beating the hell out of Jeff.
Referee Donnie ("Bongwater") was standing near me outside the ring and started laughing and pointing at Jeff. I told him: "That's messed up", and he laughed even louder.
Another fan told him to put the chain on Portia and he shrugged his shoulders at them.
Everyone was into this show.

Athena vs. Rachel was the best womens match I've ever seen. Has to be one of the best Joshi matches in ACW history. Athena's dive over the top rope was F'n Dangerous, they actually crushed a couple beer bottles! Not cans BOTTLES

Athena vs. Rachel was the best womens match I've ever seen. Has to be one of the best Joshi matches in ACW history. Athena's dive over the top rope was F'n Dangerous, they actually crushed a couple beer bottles! Not cans BOTTLES Interesting that you say that, because I said the same thing about Poison/Portia (the best womens' match I'd ever seen).
It's not just that I'm a committed Poison-maniac, but because of the subtlety with how they came across during the match. Like I said, Portia was masterful at what she did. It was predator/prey, and there was genuine emotion in every corner of the Mohawk during that match.
I'm not taking anything away from Rachel/Athena and neither of us are wrong; we just focused on different things.
One thing's for sure - I told my buddy coming to his first show that nothing beats the response of an ACW crowd to a womens' match, and last night proved it once again.
ACW crowds are always wild, but it gets INSANE during these Joshi matches.

Couple more thoughts on this incredible show:
The whole thing with Gregory Symonds was beyond classy. I wasn't there for the early days in ACW, but I wish I could've seen more of this guy.
Is the lumberjack guy with Team Sex now? Somehow I don't see him as a good fit...I'm hoping they bring Jeremy Fire back.
'Cause I want to see the fire come through our town. ;D

No-Rope Barbed Wire Match for the ACW Television Championship:
"Mr. Showtime" Scot Summers(c) defeated "The Mind of Wrestling" JT LaMotta to win the title.
While the ring crew was removing the barbed wire and broken cinder blocks from this match, Vexx's music hit. He called out Darin Childs, saying he didn't have to wait for the ropes to be put back up for their match to start.
This lead to...
Taipei Deathmatch:
Darin Childs vs "The Infamous" Shawn Vexx went to a no decision as neither man was able to answer the standing 10-count.
After the match, Vexx further destroyed Childs with a steel chair.
"Faction Warfare!" Trios 4-Way Dance (Loser of the fall will be kicked out of their faction):
The Takeover (Franco D'Angelo, "Cowboy" James Claxton & Jaykus Plisken)(w/ Miss Maulie) defeated The Submission Squad (Evan Gelistico, Pierre Abernathy & Gary Jay), The Smurf Nation (JC Bravo, Chingo Smurf & Berry Breeze) & Children of Pain (Khris Wolfe, Jason Silver & Sky DeLacrimosa) when all members of The Takeover pinned Berry Breeze. Therefore, Berry Breeze is no longer a member of The Smurf Nation.
10,000 Thumbtacks Match:
"The Wrestling Goddess" Athena defeated "Strong Style Diva" Rachel Summerlyn after Athena nailed a Thesz Press from the stage, driving Summerlyn through a barbed wire board.
Last Man Standing Match for the ACW U-30 Championship:
ACH(c) defeated "Solid Gold" Gregory Symonds to retain the title.
Before the match, Symonds got on the mic and announced this would be his retirement match. After praising the abilities of ACH, he left his robe on the corner post, bequeathing it to Robert Evans. During the match, Symonds kept coming back after ACH threw everything he had at him, including a 450 splash from the apron onto the concrete. ACH won with a knock-out Karate Kid kick. After the match, Symonds thanked the fans and left his boots in the middle of the ring.
Akira Tozawa defeated Dingo by submission.
ACW Hardcore Championship Match:
MASADA(c) defeated Jimmy Jacobs to retain the title.
4-Way Dance:
"Spitfire" Davey Vega defeated (in order of elimination) Skylar Skelly, Mat Fitchett & "Intrepid Traveler" Paul London.
Dog Collar Match for the ACW American Joshi Championship:
Lady Poison(c) defeated Portia Perez to win the title.
Portia's nose was busted open early. She also kept refusing to put the collar on. Lady Poison eventually overcame Perez with the Posion Kiss.
Slim Sexy, Brent Masters & KASH defeated Team S.E.X. (High Roller Hayze & "Playboy" Johnny Axxle) & "Lumberjack" Bobby Lambert when Brent Masters pinned Johnny Axxle.
"I Quit" Macth for the ACW Heavyweight Championship:
Matthew Palmer(c) defeated "Essence of Excellence" Robert Evans to win the title.
Robert Evans came to the ring accompanied by a live band. After a long and brutal back-and-forth display of violence, Palmer duct-taped Evans into a Tree of Woe. After Palmer poured gasoline all over the helpless Evans and pulled out a box of matches, Evans finally said "I quit!".

I hope Dingo leaves the Submission Squad. When your buddies don't seem to help when they should, it's time to reassess who your allies are.

What a great weekend. So nice seeing friends again and gaining new ones. Oh, and the wrestling was incredibly fantastic. They need to start referring to that show in April as "WWE's 'Guilty by Association,'" instead of the other way around.
