The debut event for St. Louis Anarchy will be on Saturday, January 8th at the Knights of Columbus Hall in O’Fallon, IL (402 E US – HWY 50). Doors will open at 6:30pm for tickets sales, the event begins at 7pm.
In the Main Event, Champion Evan Gelistico will be putting his title on the line against “The New Deal” Dan Walsh! As per the new rules set forth by Anarchy’s home office in Texas, the championship must change hands, whether by pinfall, submission, knock out, or even disqualification! The Anarchy wrestling brand favors intense action in the ring. A trend in wrestling over the past several years has seen many fans cheated out of a main event winner due to champions being able to cheat their way to a title defense. Not in St. Louis Anarchy!
Dan Walsh is no stranger to the spotlight. His face can be seen on MTV as a cast member of the hit show, ROAD RULES. Walsh is more than just a celebrity at heart. He is also an accomplished US Marine, having served a tour in Iraq. He brings an unmatched combination of true toughness and charisma that will be hell for Gelistico to deal with. Evan Gelistico, as the current LWA title holder, will continue on the lineage as the first STL Anarchy Champion. He captured the title last summer from Davey Vega and has been on a monstrous roll ever since.
On the undercard, a hot young prospect will be facing one of the greatest wrestlers in St. Louis history! Mat Fitchett, the lightning quick ass-kicker, will go one-on-one with a man that has been absent for over a year when he takes on DINGO!
Call 314-805-4920 to reserve tickets now. Prices are $10 if you purchase tickets now, $12 if you buy them at the door. However, if you are male with a valid College ID, you get 50% off the ticket price. To make the deal even sweeter, if you are a lady with a valid College ID, you’re admission is completely FREE! Use that money savings to invest in our ONE DOLLAR BEER! (21 yrs and older, of course!)
One last thing...some people are wondering just what separates the Anarchy wrestling brand from everything else around. On top of some new rules and strategies in place to keep fans from getting ripped off by the product itself, we are also offering an almost exclusive roster of wrestlers. With stars coming from as far as Texas, you will not see most these amazing athletes anywhere else in St. Louis!
Scheduled to appear already include: Evan Gelistico vs Dan Walsh
DINGO vs FITCHETT
Ring of Honor star: Kyle O’Reilly DGUSA star: Arik Cannon Shimmer Womans Star: Rachel Summerlyn
Including:JT Lamotta, Darin Childs, Davey Vega, Adam Raw, Darin Corbin, ACH, Shane Hollister, Shorty Biggs, Jordan Lacey, Tony Kozina, The Hooligans, Gerald James, Billy McNeil

This will be non title as Evans has already signed to defend on Jan 16th in Austin TX.. That's still good news, as it creates an opportunity for Rachel to sneak in a win and demand contender status later down the line.

This will be non title as Evans has already signed to defend on Jan 16th in Austin TX.. Our champions don't duck anyone. If our champion is wrestling on an ACW sponsored event then the champions always defend their belt. Rule number one of Anarchy Championship Wrestling. There is only 1 non-title match a year & that is the one fall to a finish 4-way. Robert Evans would be insulted if he saw that.

What is the U-30 title?

|
Post by rk3689 on Dec 22, 2010 23:39:12 GMT -5
"Under 30" - It is a title for the "young guns" of the promotion, the wrestlers under 30 years old.
But with ACH as champ it has become (unofficially) the "Peoples' Belt".
You'll find out why. ;D

Thats what I thought. Isnt Tony Kozina like 40? a wrestler has 30 days to prove he is under the age of 30, there have been times in the past wrestlers widely known to be over the age of 30 have competed for the belt, Nick Tyson defending vs Mike Quackenbush in LWA for example. If Mr. Kozina is able to walk away with the belt he too will have 30 days to prove his age and if he is indeed over the age of 30 the belt will be vacant (like when Showtime Scot Summers won the belt on way to winning the LSC 2009)

Thats what I thought. Isnt Tony Kozina like 40? The rule is (as borrowed from NJPW): if you win the U-30 Championship you have 30 days to show proof of age. so guys over 30 have won the belt & been forced to vacate & also have won & lost it before the 30 days. with that said, I personally don't think Kozina is anywhere neat the talent level of the other competitors in the match-up & therefore I have no worries that this will be an issue we'll have to address...although, stranger things have happened.

I agree completely.
But ya never know, he has years of experience on everyone in the match, that kind of thing really pays off in multi-man matches.

Its elimination so no matter what its coming down to 1 on 1. In the year and a half ACH has been in ACW only 1 man has beat him 1 on 1, and that was F'n MASADA. No one in this match can beat ACH right now.

The match hasn't been announced yet, but it looks like we're heading toward ACH vs James Claxton.
As an ACH fan I have to admit this one actually has me just a little bit concerned. Not so much about ACH losing the (Peoples') title...
...because I don't think Claxton cares about that.

I'm hoping it's gonna be a bigger moment when ACH drops the belt, and (in my opinion) Claxton dosen't deserve that moment.

The stage is set for the biggest pro wrestling event to hit this area since the days of Wrestling at the Chase. The best collection of talent from all around the world will be assembled all under one roof. On January 8, 2011 there will be anarchy at the Knights of Columbus in O’Fallon, IL. There is only one company that can bring a show of this caliber to St. Louis and that company is St. Louis Anarchy. The St Louis Anarchy Championship will be on the line as Champion Evan Gelistico will take on Dan Walsh. Evan is a well traveled competitor and has held the many singles and tag team titles. He is a smart technician with a mean streak and a whatever it takes to win attitude. Dan Walsh is a former military man that served time in Iraq as well as a star on MTV’s Road Rules and The Challenge: Cutthroat. See a piece of Japan when Dragon Gate performer Akira Towzawa takes on Gerald James. “Spitfire” Davey Vega faces his toughest challenge to date as he takes on arguably the best wrestler in the world, Davey Richards. The best wrestler to come out of the STL, Dingo will make his return to the ring against his very last student, the high flying Fittchet. ACW Heavywieight Champion Robert Evens will go up against Shimmer Star the smoking hot Rachel Summerlyn. The ACW U-30 title will be on the line in a Six Man Suicide Match that will pit Billy McNeil vs. ACH vs. JT LaMotta vs. Tony Kozina vs. Darin Corbin vs. Shane Hollister! Also in action: Darin Childs, Arik Cannon, The Holligans, Shorty Biggs, Kyle O'Riley, Adam Raw and more..... When: January 8, 2011 7pm Where: O’Fallon, IL Knights of Columbus Tickets: $12 or reserve in advance for only $10 call 314-805-4920
