The presence of blood can take a match over the top, what is everybody's bloodiest wrestling memories?
Personally, my bloodiest memory was my first ACW show. Dingo vs. Showtime in a Dog-Collar Match, it wasn't an insane amount of blood but I had been a life-long wrestling fan and that was the first time I saw a wrestler bleed in person at a live show.

My second ACW show had Drew Lucid vs Steve Amos for the Hardcore title. Drew bled like crazy. Bree had to walk out because it was making her sick. The whole crowd went pretty quiet other than the mumbling about if the match would be stopped. I've since heard Lucid's wound that night referred to as "the vagina on his head." Pretty gruesome, but he was still out taking down the ring after the show. Now THAT'S hardcore.

Sometimes the actual violence of what happens is more shocking than just the blood. Here's my first experience with serious violence at a wrestling show.
1980 in Florida, Paul Jones was wrestling under a white mask as Mr. Florida, a fan favorite, against Super Destroyer, also under a mask, as the villian. This was at the West Palm Beach auditorium, and they were still selling beer in bottles.
A fan threw his beer bottle, presumably at Super Destroyer (Mr. Florida was SUPER over as a face), and it missed and hit Mr. F. He fell to the mat and I remember seeing the red spread all over the white mask. Dusty Rhodes and Bugsy McGraw broke character runing to the ring to carry him out, yelling at the kids: "Godd_mn it! Get out of the way!"
That was either the first or second wrestling show I ever attended; I'm not sure which.

Mike Dell getting hit in the head by someone who didn't know how to swing a chair at some other promotion. Never seen so much blood so quickly, ever.

Wolfe vs Vexx, Wolfe had blood pouring out of him to the point you could hear concern growing through the crowd as Wolfe lost more and more blood.

I think the craziest blood spot I've seen live is Deranged @ IWA King of Extreme. He fell right in front of my feet and squirted a huge puddle in front of me. Also that night was 200+lighttubes and Necro was bleeding from his ass through a towel after the show. That show definitely smelled worse than any other srestling show I've been to.

Around 1994, I reffed a "no disqualification" match between Killer Tim Brooks and Action Jackson at the Austin City Coliseum. Both guys bled buckets to the point that there were pools of blood all over the canvas, and outside the ring as well. Along with a chair, Brooks utilized a crescent wrench (which apparently worked pretty well). This was probably the bloodiest match I have ever reffed, and possibly the bloodiest I have ever seen.

Greg Symmonds after a suicide dive was pretty bad. But I think Problems' head from a light tube headhunter from Jacob Ladder was really bad!
