I'll be there, most likely. Haven't bought a ticket yet, so if anyone wants to create a section, let me know so we can buy tickets at the same time.

Any one know the full card for the show or who will be apearing there? Murdock vs Albright (If you have not seen Murdocks Indy/Noah work its worth your time) should be a good throw back match Ace Steel vs Preace (Preace is another guy that does Old School wrestling right) (Ace Steel helped in training CM Punk and Colt Cabbana) Blue Demond vs Rob Conway (Conway still does the stupid gimmick but if you can look past it there is a ton of talent, no Idea why they would not refroum the Lords of the Rinf with him and Dismore) Cassandro Sid (For real how do you pass up Sid) Los Luchas (Very good west coast Tag Team) Don Juan (Some Fat Guy) Also a ton of Local talent will be there and hopfully manny will be used or inpress Demond and catch on with NWA Mexico. I Still cant belive im missing Sid

NWA IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS RESULTS: BRENT ALBRIGHT DEFENDS NWA TITLE AGAINST TREVOR MURDOCK, SID DOESN'T SHOW & MORE by Brad Hughes @ 9:36 AM on 8/25/2008
I went to the NWA show in San Antonio at the Freeman Coliseum today. Attendance was between 100-200 (probably closer to 100). They started off that Sid Eudy would not be there (no show?) 1. Ace Steel beat Adam Pierce ( w/ C. Edward Vanderpile) 2. TX Heavyweight Championship - Chaz Taylor beat Kevin Northcutt to be the new champ 3. Six man tag - Chris Marvel, Big Dogg, and Rory Fox (locals) beat three luchadors 4. NWA world tag - Los Luchadors and The Skullcrushers was a double DQ. 5. Cassandra (Adrian Adonis) beat Don Juan (local). 6. Brent Albright beat Trevor Murdock after a re-start when Trevor loaded his elbow pad. 7. Blue Demon Jr (w/Cassandra) beat Rob Conway (w/ Trevor Murdock) Also in the San Antonio Express News today was an article in the SA Life section entitled "Fellowship of the Ring" which old timers recall the glory days of the regional wrestling circuits.

The 3 luchadores were El Medico Azul, Aguila Negro and "La Bomba Skitzo"
The tag champions "Los Luchas" are Zokre & Phoenix Star
X-Pac was also a no show but that wasn't mentioned.
Not a $20-35 show.

This show was a total rip off... Sid has said that the reason he didn't make it was due to non communication by the NWA folks.... My opinion, they didn't sell the tix they thought they would so they pulled the high cost wrestlers - Sid and XPAC. I must say I have a much higher respect and love for ACW, y'all are great and put on such a great show everytime regardless of things that may happen.. The only reason we went to this was because I bought the tickets as a gift for my b/f because I know that Sid and X-Pac have been favorites of his for a long time. I spent the xtra money for the front row even, I feel like a dumb-a** thats for sure. I can't believe they conned me into it and then didn't come through, it was a so so show over all, I must say I expected more from the "prestigeous NWA" but now know that I need to stick with the ACW, I've been to every Austin show since the first one this year... Would be at SA shows but my disability has previously prevented me from that. I hope that after this last surgery (end of july) I will be more able to travel and make it to some SA ACW shows. Keep up the awesome shows ACW, and Thank You for never letting us down!

Los Luchas, The Skull Krushers, Blue Demon Jr and Casandro were awesome, Those RCW boys sucked but the cowoboy hat wrestler in the lucha mask was the shit i yelled at that fagot El Medical Azul's real name JOEY SPECTOR and he pointed at him pure awesome and fucking funny, Seems like spector cant get a good gimmick at all he sucks!
Was awesome telling Rory Fox shit again that mother fucker still knows who i am ha ha ha!
Rob Conway thought he could tell me of by saying stand up but that mother fucker told the wrong cripple to stand up i double birded that mother fucker ha ha ha!

I would of been pretty pissed if i had gone and there was no Sid, that was one of the top reasons i was pumped about the show.
Not to get all insider but was Murdock wrestling the WWE Style or the more "Stiff" Noah Style?

He got rough after he faked his knee injury but before that it was slow and boring till after the knee injury.

A very disappointing show. I was way stoked to see the legendary NWA at the Freeman. W/ Sid and X-pac? A childhood dream. Airline trouble was understandable to me, sh!t happens. X-pac's absence not being explained made the whole deal seem real shady. The highlight of the show was a mexican tranny. (no dis, he was great. seen him wrestle 5 other trannys on AAA.) Honorable mention to Murdoch, he actually sold me on that knee injury. I held the NWA in the highest regard until Sunday. Any other excursions to SA for wrestling will only be for ACW. Expectations are always exceeded at an ACW show.

I have been wondering... Clearly NWA Southwest is not the top promotion in Texas or even in any area of Texas. Are any of the NWA affiliate promotions the top promotions in their respective areas?
I know the NWA isn't the NWA I group up watching, (I'm old, I remember before Georgia Championship Wrestling - Crockett Productions took a stranglehold on the Alliance) But is there any area of the country where the NWA is more than a joke?

NWA-Wilside in Georgia is...that's about it. It's the "Anarchy" rub isn't it? That's Bill Behrens' group right? It really isn't surprising.

I bet if NWA booked ACW talent at NWA it would have had a bigger crowd. It's the "Anarchy" rub isn't it? That's Bill Behrens' group right? It really isn't surprising. they hate me because of the "anarchy" thing... Behrens is involved... ACW is more anarchy worthy than theres.
