Claudia is beautiful and totally exotic, but man -- I wish she was better in the ring. That's why she is gaining experience on the pre-show. she gets better every show and impressed some important people at the Joshi Tournament.

I think Claudia's doing a great job. I'm really enjoying watching her advance in the ring.

I'm open to her getting better.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the tag title match (Watching Jerry Lynn move in that ring is like watching an amazing painting take place ..) and Bio Vs. Dingo.
Dingo is quickly becoming ACW's MVP now that he's back full time, it seems. Unfortunately, that win/loss record for our fellow IWA:MS world champ is pitiful in ACW, so hopefully he can rack up a point (or a few, since any win against Bio counts for something big!) at this show.

EVERYONE in ACW knows that Dingo could win any title on any night. Dingo never loses, he just doesn't always win. The only other Dingo vs Bio match is MOTY so far in my opinion.

in fact I'd say Dingo and Jaykus Plisken are putting on the best matches in ACW over the last few months, no matter who they are wrestling.

I'm still a little new to ACW, but I agree about Dingo; he really impressed me against Scot Summers at the last show. He's not a big guy, but he has enormous presence. It's good to see a guy like him being able to shine like that. Jerry Lynn? That's the guy who's never had a bad match. It'll be great to see him wrestle again as well. On the one hand it might seem like him and Summers might not click stylewise, but Lynn has the kind of versatility to work with anyone, and it's going to be fun watching him do it. As for Claudia...I think by the end of the year she'll have a match where she surprises all the regulars with her improved skill, and ring presence/personality. I don't think it'll be this show, but one of the next few. Just a prediction. Keep your eye on her, she has the spark. r k

Lynn and Summers are the ACW Tag team Champions and real life best friends. Jerry Lynn actually Said Scot Summers has been his toughest opponent since RVD. they more than click, they are a full on Bro-mance. and many would say the 2nd best tag team in ACW history...right behind The Children of Pain

Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men....trust me black rocker hell has no room for your crime. You have helped me take out the The Smurf Nation but there is no love loss when that belt is on the line...Let the Blood the Wicked Flow Like A River So that which Is Good may flourish.

Not to get us off Garza's picturesque prediction of wicked blood flowing like a river, but Presley has got to chime in that I've noticed continuous improvement in Claudia's work over the last several months, and I think it says alot that the powers-that-be recognize this and continue to provide her with the opportunity to hone her skills.

I think that's my acw MOTY so far too. Any match that has me standing on my chair , shouting profanities at Biohazard (ACW has a nasty habit of booking Bio against some of my favorite people, so sorry Bio, nothing personal!) and have me marking out like crazy whenever Dingo was dishing out the offense, counts for an amazing, one of a kind experience. And probably the best one I can highlight so far into ACW's 2009 shows. That and the triple threat main event from the peace love & anarchy show are probably my favorite matches from this year so from Ac Dub.

I've had the chance now to watch some DVD's of ACW, including one that has Claudia from well over a year ago and I don't see what all the dissing's about. She looked like she could put on at least a decent match even back that far. There''s still a little fluff there and room for some intensity, but she's going to be awesome once she gets there. Be patient! It's not like what she's doing is easy, people. And it's not going to kill anyone to look at Claudia in the ring for seven minutes a show until she gets there. ;D r k

Dingo will not be appearing as scheduled due to a private family issue. Jaykus Plisken will now face former world boxing champion Michael Payne in what will be an extremely brutal test of strikes.

So who's that kid in the original Payne match gonna get sacrificed to? I say Lady Poison.
Seriously though; Plisken against a boxer should be good. Like Dingo this looks like another tough guy who won't back down.
I wonder if Cautious Court is possible? Him and that kid would be a fun "match of the newcomers". Two young, lightweight guys battling for wrestling crowd respect.

Fun show, but probably my least favorite as far as 2009 shows go. Just kinda rough around the edges compared to well, the last 8 months of show. And I've been to every one of 'em ! I marked out so hard for Portia Perez winning (favorite joshi in all of indy wrestling), but Dingo not being able to make the show was a huge, huge let down -- especially since I didn't check the forum beforehand. It would've been another MOTYC candidate. I'd say the tag title match was MOTN. Really good stuff. But I really hope palmer is OK ! It seems like it all happened after the spear that showtime gave him.
The four way with the (mostly) unknown guys was surprisingly great. The black dude, H-A-C or something, he looks like he's gonna be a great star, but that slap to Caution Court was like, disgusting. Almost too much, haha !
I like the main event, not exactly the match itself, but for the intrigue to the Jacobs/Masada feud -- if and when they fight, it's gonna be brutal. Masada is honestly the perfect opponent for Jacobs ! I smell NRBW at some point.

what went down between masada and jacobs

Post by adriang4 on Aug 24, 2009 18:06:21 GMT -5
Well, Knox got flying drop kicked, and Masada did some move and pinned dell, and then a hooded referee ran down and 1-2-STOPS !
Lifts the hood, it's Jacobs.
Masada meets his doom, loses the match, and Jacobs is all like being artistic and poetic. And Masada's all pissed.
It's gonna rule.

Rough around the edges? Amazing how perspective is so personal. From where I was, I thought things went pretty smoothly (not counting the injuries to Vexx & Palmer) To pull off a 12 match show with 40 wrestlers plus all the other people involved is an amazing logistic challenge. I won't say the show was the best we've had, but it had it's moments.
I agree the Tag Match was outstanding and Portia Perez was a huge surprise. The 4 kids in the elimination match were very impressive, providing far more than a typical spot fest.
Everyone was disappointed that Dingo could not make it, especially Jaykus Plisken who feels he has something to prove I think. I would bet that he'll get his chance soon.
Bottom line was I enjoyed the show immensely. It provided a much needed distraction from my own personal problems.
I am already looking forward to September 20
