It is with a sad heart I must inform you that on June 22nd the Venue in San Antonio, Texas will cease operations. Therefore The June 21st date will be the last event in the building. It is only fitting that ACW closes the Venue. Due to the out pouring from the boys, we are going to doing something special and offer matches to those who have made “The Venue” the most important pro wrestling venue in the State of Texas since the sportatorium. “The Venue” has granted us operation of the facility all day on June 21st. we’ll likely start the show at an earlier time and give those who want to say goodbye a chance to do so before The American Joshi Queen of Queens Tournament starts @ 6pm as a special gift to our diehard fans. Specific details will be releases shortly. Please come and join ACW on June 21st as it may be the last chance for San Antonio to witness ACW for a while.

The shows will happen, just not sure in what building in what city. Emo's and Mohawk have offered us their venue's for the dates announced in case we can't find a building in San Antonio. finding a building is always a struggle seeing how TWE & RCW have burned pretty much every venue owner in the San Antonio area. We will figure something out. we aren't planning on leaving San Antonio anytime soon. We haven't really had time to sort out any details other than June 21st. Trust me,we won't abandon the city that made Anarchy what it is today.

Hooligans would be awesome but I think it would be a tight fit for all the fans ACW was pulling in at the Venue. The Bonds show was kinda cool but I can imagine how hot the September show would be. and last A short lived return to Grahams would be cool. Always liked the setup there
Just to throw out a few lol

Here is an idea that might not be welcomed or considered. But the old place where TWE used to run...Estrella Mall? I know, it was pretty much a piece of crap, but the place where Teenie Weenie Express used to hold it had lots of room for seeting and such. Just an thought...
Tommy, I have been trying to find a place for ACW. ACW is the ONLY saving grace for Professional Wrestling in San Antonio, and don't want it to leave.

Alot of places like that no longer want Pro wrestling at there building due to past dealings that were handled less then professionally.

Pretty much if a place had pro wrestling once and doesn't anymore, there's a reason. It doesn't hurt to ask, but expect to get cursed at for something someone else did.
Wrestling traditionally is held in 5 types of places. Each of them have problems and benefits.
1) City owned recreation facilities - Too easy to get screwed with by anyone who wants to cause you trouble. - no beer 2) Churches gyms - Put many restrictions upon the creative aspects of a promotion. - no beer 3) Bars - Usually sell more drinks with live music so when they see 200 Plus wrestling fans and aren't making the money they like, they try to renegotiate the contract. 4) Privately owned gyms - Usually won't allow beer. Hard to get concessions. Often require a lot of extra set up and break down work. 5) Other businesses like Flea Markets, Bingo Halls, Skating rinks. - Usually no concessions, Owners can usually make more money elsewhere. Plus it can make the promotion look "amateur" running in a flea market.
That's all I can think of at this time. I am certainly interested in hearing other ideas.

Live Oak has a bunch of problems getting in there one being WAY to much to rent... there a lot of things i have to take in to account when looking for a place.... a few of the things are cost size and location

On top of all that, looking for a venue is time consuming. It's not something you can do from the yellow pages or even the internet. You gotta get out on the road and check out every lead before you even open up negotiations. More times than not, you get to a place and can tell it won't work before you even meet the owner or manager.
That's a lot of effort to put into something when there's a great place in Austin that actually wants ACW.
These are only my observations. I'm not officially involved in the search for a San Antonio location, but if I see something I think would work, you can bet I'm gonna get on the phone to Mike and the team.

Got my fingers crossed for yall Still on going, right now its on hold as we prep for Sundays show, but it will pick back up. we have a few places we are looking at but there are to many snakes in SA to make that public untill we have something in stone.

Any chance there will be Saturday shows ? Theres a chance but It is so much easier to work out deals with venues for sundays. I know there is a growing group of fans from houston that would like to see Saturday shows as well.
