Recently, www.myspace.com/texaswrestlingcalendar put out a list of 57 active indy promotions in Texas.
Now you can rate any or all 57 of them. Check out www.texasindywrestling.blogspot.com and rate the promotions from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest) to help determine which promotions are the best in Texas.
What works best is when you get to the page, click on "August" to see all the promotions. Then complete the poll for the promotion you are interested in. Then use the "back" button on your web browser to return to the complete list.
In September, the top 10 rated promotions will be placed in a separate poll to rank them against each other.
Please share this information with other fans and workers so we can have the largest representation in the voting.

This concept is destined to lead to a lot of (ok, like 6) idiots trying to prove who has the bigger balls. I assume this poll will represent which petty Jay-brone has the most friends with enough spare time to vote for the NEXT BEST THING IN RASSLIN! and we will end up living in an even more bizarre world in which some random shit fed in Dallas will be the greatest promotion in the world....
just making sure I remember how to rant properly...
Thank you....

Yep, you pretty much got it. but on the bright side, you can rate promos as terrible too.
Supposedly an ISP address can only vote once, even if you deleted your cookies (I tried) so at least not all the votes will come from the same address like the 7 votes I got from the house of a certain promoter who was having a bible study and thought it would be cool to vote 7 identical votes when I did the San Antonio Top Wrestler.

I'm not a wrestling promoter... and I voted 6 times, not 7.

You wouldn't have recently moved to Temple by any chance?

Of course not! You ever been to Temple? I'd rather vote multiple times here in Arlington.

Well as it turns out, the random fed that "won" the vote was none other than ACW. I realize that just because Anarchy Championship Wrestling was rated the highest doesn't neccessarily make the results any more valid, but it is nice to know that the supporters of ACW care enough to get the vote out

sweet, ACW were the J-Brones with the most friends...
honestly, its always nice to be positively recognized in any capacity for the hard work everyone has put in over the years. you'll be hard pressed to find a group of talents and crew that work as hard and as those in ACW.
I personally don't think of ACW as a "Texas" Fed, in fact in most indy wrestling circles were are thought of as Texas...meaning we have defined the area in the current era as it pertains to Indy wrestling which is an amazing feat.
Thank you from ACW to those who voted and support Indy wrestling, or wrestling on any level.

If you actually go and look at ACW's ratings/results you should bear in mind something Biss pointed out. Don't worry so much about the people that voted ACW as "Not Good" or "Terrible" but but focus on those who rated "No Opinion - Never Heard of Them"
Perhaps the best thing about ACW is not only that they've changed the landscape and perceptions of Texas Wrestling, but as time has gone by, the consistancy is such that it is clear that ACW is not just a "Flavor of the Month" federation.

I'd never go look at the poll, but I'll assume the majority of people who "have never heard of us" are the same who call the state and try to shut us down once a month or people that are not going to give us a chance. I focus on putting on great shows and doing our part to give the people what they want...not what we THINK they want.

my comments were directed towards those that voted truthfully, If some one has come to ACW and it "was not there cup of tea" so be it. If some one truthfull does not know who we are then they must be living under a rock, i want reach them under that rock.
