As you may already know, I will not be in attendance at this Sunday's ACW Presents "Delusions of our Childish Days" show at the Mohawk in Austin Texas. As I understand it, a returning Anarchist will be taking the Ring Announcer's duties for the evening, but there is one more task we need to cover.
As unofficial ACW Historian, I am looking for someone to keep notes of the matches and results which will be posted here. All I need is the matches in order, the participants and the winners or other results. If you want to do a full blow by blow run down, that is cool but not necessary.
Feel free to post the results here on the ACW Fans message board and I will format it later for the history section.
Thanks Barry

Opening matrch: Alex (forget last name) beat "The Nightmare"/"Samurai Homeboy" (forget his name).
Internet Exclusive Match: Rachel Summerlyn & Jessica James beat Erin Starr & Athena.
Davey Vega (surprise entry) won a five-way match against Court Caution, Chris Preston, Brent Masters, and Skylar Skelly.
J.T. LaMotta announced that his mystery partner for later would be a "former ACW champion", and Scot Summers came out. Then Mike Dell and The Takeover came out, and Dell annouced that HIS mystery partner would be Summers; to Summers's surprise and offending Spiro, who expected to be picked. Jimmy Jacobs hits the ring, and announces that indeed LaMotta's partner WOULD be a former champion - Jimmy Jacobs. Dell explained to Spiro this was part of a "master plan".
Robert Evans discussed Portia Perez being unavailable, saying he wanted to make it a "one on one" match. Darin Childs eagerly accepted, but Evans said it would be "one on one" with Rachel, as Evans believes he is the true "Strong Style Diva". After some angry words with botrh Darin and Evans over the tag match in October, Rachel accepted.
Battle Of The Smurfs: Chingo defeated Breeze and Bravo, with all celebrating at the end.
ACH defeats Biohazard. Garza interfered, without ACH's consent. ACH and Bio shook hands after the match.
Spiro defeated Jiggalo James Johnson in a major beatdown.
Garza defeated Khris Wolfe in a bloody death match. After the match, Bio returned and took violent revenge on Garza, slamming him on a table covered with barbed wire, with Garza's barbed wire crucifix on the table. Bio did this with the obvious aid...of the referee.
Intermission.
The Lost Boys & Poison beat Willie, Bubba, & Lillie Mae. Poison pinned Mae, then gave her the Poison Kiss.
Matthew Palmer vs Shawn Vexx - Match thrown out by referee, after Mike Dell took a chair to Palmer's wrist and ankle when Palmer refused to do the same to Vexx.
Robert Evans vs. Rachel Summerlyn - Evans wins a wild match that had the crowd chanting loudly for both wrestlers. Excellent performance from both, and the match of the night.
Mystery Partner Match - Dell's "master plan" results in him taking a beating from three guys, as Jacobs did nothing to help him in the match. Dell takes the pin and loses, followed by an angry Robert Evans and Spiro taking down Showtime, Spiro telling Dell off, and them leaving the ring. With Showtime down, Dell offers him an impromptu title match. With no referee in the ring Dell takes advantage of Summers for a bit, then retreats when the referee returns, saying he was "joking". Darin Childs confronts Dell, telling him he must go through with the match.
IMPROMPTU TITLE MATCH: Mike Dell defeats Showtime Summers, with help from Jimmy Jacobs (Takeover banned from ringside, and didn't appear in a mood to help Dell anyway).
Opinions & notes:
Crowd was very into the show. ACW didn't disappoint, even with the loss of Portia from the card.
Ring announcer was Mike Knoxville, who introduced a new, female referee, Amanda. Both did an excellent job, although I felt Amanda didn't get the appreciation she deserved. Amanda made no questionable calls as far as I was concerned, and showed no sign of bias for or against any wrestlers.
Robert Evans had the U-30 belt the whole night, which was never explained.
In what I thought was a stunning example of selective rules enforcement, Court Caution was "disqualified" (in an ACW match) in the five-way, resulting in a chant of "Bulls__t!" from the crowd. ACH accompanied Caution during the match, and as they walked past I heard ACH mention something about "The NAACP". Personally, I hope this IS addressed at one of the next shows. Perhaps ACH/Cauition could solicit the help of a renowned civil rights advocate, like Robert Evans. ;D
Junior Garza continues to show no sign of backdown from anyone in ACW.
Chingo was impressive.
I hope to see Athena in ACW again in the future. She has a great look, lots of attitude, and excellent presence. Would like to see her in singles action, to see more of her wrestling ability.
Lady Poison is the dark horse who could dominate the Joshi division.
Davey Vega seemed to think that winning the five-way U-30 preliminary puts him in line for Joshi contention (? :
Is The Takeover finished? Appears that Palmer may be out at least, with Spiro being clearly alienated (I even heard him arguing with Dell about it during intermission at the merchandise table). Choosing Jacobs over his team would be very risky for One Man, in my opinion.
Showtime performs best when people are rooting against him.

There was a scary moment during the Evans/Rachel match, where Rachel jumped out the ring onto Evans and both landed on the ground with their heads a fraction of an inch from a cinder block.
I was like: "Daaaamn, someone almost died here!"

Thank you for the report. I'll sue it to update history when I get back. at 8Euros an hour, internet is too expensive to waste.
Having great time in Germany. Still sad about missing the show. Were there any injuries that appeared serious?

Nick Guidry vs Alex Reigns was the preshow
Amanda did a great job
to my knowledge there are no DQs in ACW, not sure what happened there, Presley was in charge of the match and decided to toss court.

Were there any injuries that appeared serious? dell took a dive and looked like he busted open the back of his head pretty bad. dell also attacked palmer with a chair to the wrist and ankle, he was carried out, when palmer refused to take out shawn vexx.

Nick Guidry vs Alex Reigns was the preshow Amanda did a great job to my knowledge there are no DQs in ACW, not sure what happened there, Presley was in charge of the match and decided to toss court. Yeah, I thought that DQ was highly questionable, and was one of the first ones chanting against it. I know Caution isn't likeable, but still.
I also didn't care for Presley "helping out" like he did with Bio against Garza, and it's not just because I'm a Garza fan either.
Sure, Garza had it coming, and Plisken was 100% justified, but what Presley joined in on Plisken could more than do for himself.
Very unhappy with Presley's performance that night. "Throwing out" the Palmer-Vexx match was a little dicey too, especially after disqualifying Caution for relatively nothing, but I'm sorta letting that one pass, given the circumstances.
Yes Amanda was very good, and I wish the crowd showed more appreciation when she was introduced. Everyone cheered real loud for Knoxville, but only a few of us did for her (and some folks even dissed), even when Mike tried to get some more cheers going. This is where I missed Barry, because I'm SURE Barry would've gotten more from the crowd.
I was also surprised Darin didn't take the U-30 belt away from Evans; Evans didn't earn it, that I know of.
What's going on?

I'll tell you what, there were few seconds after Rachel did that dive on Evans where they both laid there and I saw that concrete block and thought: "Oh shit."

there have always been DQ's in ACW. they are up to the referees discretion. he decided to show his authority. I'm only assuming, but I would guess that he did that for 2 reasons.
1. Court Caution is extremely obnoxious. 2. it was done to send a message to the roster.
Presley was within his power to render a DQ. Maybe Court Caution will fight his own battle next time...or maybe they'll be a little more sly, either way, you have to admit a DQ in the land of no DQ's is in fact anarchy.

· Matthew Palmer will be out of Action for 6-9 months following the brutal attack from “One Man” Mike Dell. Matthew Palmer will be back in ACW when he recovers, despite being beaten out of The Takeover.
· Shawn Vexx’ foot was re-injured by Mike Dell, but he WILL be wrestling for The Heavyweight Championship at Guilty By Association 4. If Dell retains he will defend the Championship against JT Lamotta on 2-21-10 in San Antonio and Shawn Vexx will defend against Robert Evans, Darin Childs & Gary Jay in a 4-way dance if he defeats Dell to become new Heavyweight Champion.
· As seen in the latest Interview reel, Robert Evans took the U-30 championship belt after Darin Childs threw it down following Showtime vacating it on November 16th. The ACW office will take it when we want it. There WILL be an official U-30 Champion crowned on April 18th at Mohawk in Austin, Texas.
· Davey Vega’s win in the “Odd” 5-way dance made him the first participant in the U-30 4-way Dance to crown a new champion. Despite Vega’s beliefs, he is not in line for a “Josh-ie” championship match.
· Chingo Smurf also qualified for the 4-way dance by defeating the other 2 members of The Smurf Nation. Expect big things from Chingo, he put in the performance of his career.
· Robert Evans and Portia Perez will choose the stipulations for their respective matches at ACW’s Flagship event: Guilty By Association on January 17th, 2010.
· ACH is still undefeated in ACW after scoring an upset victory over Jaykus Plisken. Junior Garza attacked Plisken to set up ACH’s frogsplash. As far as The ACW Office knows, ACH had no prior knowledge nor did he see the interference from Garza.
· ACH has impressed the ACW office so much, he has been named the 3rd Participant in the 4-way dance to crown a new U-30 Champion.
· Mike Knoxville blew everyone away with his aptitude for ring announcing. It was a very impressive debut in the new role from the former senior referee.
· Complete details and results from Delusions of our Childish Days will be posted soon.

When I went to an original (Prince Fontenot) ACW show Knoxville did an awesome job on live play by play. Not a knock on Barry in anyway, but what took so long to put 2 and 2 together?

No matter how you put it, anybody who is asked to be a ring announcer, commentator, ref or anything else in ACW, you can expect 110% effort from them due to the fact it is ACW. Anarchy TV is seen worldwide and it starts from the bottom and not only is it the wrestling that captivates the audience live or on video, but commentary and ring announcing also plays a very big role in it as well. Whether it is Mike Knoxville or Barry Yount doing the announcing, your are gonna get a great show when they are involved. No if, ands or buts about it.

Heyyyy, I gave you props. Like I said, I think you would've been more convincing at something like getting appreciation from the crowd for Amanda.
But I'm not dissing MIke Knoxville; he did do an awesome job.
Given my preferences though, I'd go with Barry as announcer and Mike for other things (like reffing). Maybe Mike could do some in-ring interviews or something.
But Barry has a good syle that fits.

But the Smurfs are guilty of too much...shenanigans...sometimes. Robert Evans needs to fix that. ;D

Alright, I normally don't defend my decisions on message boards, but this is pissing me off just a bit. As the office stated, DQ's have always been at the discretion of the ref in ACW. Although they are extremely rare, they have and will continue to happen depending on the circumstances.
I'm not going to stand in the ring, allow a non-participant in the match to enter the ring, double-team and kick the crap out of a participant, and then count the guy's shoulders that got the shit kicked out of him. That would make no sense. A DQ in this instance, however, was completely justified, and made perfect sense as it was blatantly done in front of me.
That being said, I hope the roster takes note of my decision, and keeps it in mind going forward when they consider doing something like this.
As to the crowd's reaction to my decision at the time that I made it, let's just say I slept very well that night!

That's cool and all, and I'm not saying Caution didn't deserve a DQ, but it was confusing because at the October show the other referee counted out Portia and was going to hand over the titles after Rachel used the foreign object in front of him.
The explanation was that it had to be a DQ because it was a SHIMMER match as opposed to an ACW match, in which case Rachel could still get the win/titles.
And when fans are passionate about wrestling and wrestlers we're going to be vocal about stuff like this, 'cause that's what wrestling's all about.

I think I speak for everyone on the roster when I say that all of us appreciate and take into consideration any and all feedback that the fans provide. The show would not be possible without all of the support given by the fans, and we all strive to give our best, and learn and improve from any miscues made along the way. I've worked for probably dozens of promotions, and ACW's fans are definitely the most passionate (and vocal!), which is outstanding.
