It's not often that I can rate a match higher from watching it on video than being there live, but here's an exception.
The first round match at the 2009 Lone Star Classic between Chingo, Plisken, and Spiro; particularly Plisken/Spiro.
I think the match was a bit overshadowed for me at the show due to the dramatic Showtime round that came before it, but Spiro and Plisken put on a clinic there that I saw as two really good, intense amateur-background wrestlers who adjusted that to pro wrestling in a big way. That was some great wrestling there.
I tend to cheer against Plisken because I go against favorites, but that in no way means any disrespect for the guy's wrestling ability; that whole match was solid.
The '09 LSC DVD is a must-get for sure.
