I was bored and searching through Wikipedia and realized that while ACW is mentioned on peoples pages like Perez it does not have a page all its own.
Was going to post one then realized I don't know much about the history of ACW and how it got its start, I found title history, outcomes of matches, and list of wrestlers which is all useful but now I am curious, and also realized maybe you don't want a Wikipeidia page which I would understand.

There was a wikipedia page at one time, but I guess whomever it was that created it decided it was too much trouble.
As an unofficial historian, (Darin is the Official historian I would say) I post my info here because this is where it does ACW and ACW fans the most good. I despise Wikipedia because it is so easy to sabotage or post false information. Policing that would be too much trouble for me. If you or someone else wishes to maintain a wikipedia page, for it. Please include this message board in the official links is all that I ask.

But if your okay with it I have no issues with keeping up..Just let me know where I can find the history of ACW.

I was only speaking for myself as to despising wikipedia, I would encourage any fan to do what they can to help spread the word concerning ACW. As for the history, you could start right here.

Well I started this page but its slow going as I have never created a wiki page before. Anything you guys can help me with on the history of ACW or where it came from and idea behind it, would be helpful for the future, and of course once I get it up anyone can add or take away things I got wrong.

Trying to get this going. When did Darin take over and change it from American to Anarchy?
I can see what show each wrestler started at. What about the behind the scenes crew. Rufus? Biss? Barry? etc?

first of all, it did not change from American to Anarchy. American Championship Wrestling in San Antonio (as opposed to the one in Marshall Texas and the dozens throughout the United States) was a company owned by Prince Fontenot, a top rated body builder. Prince decided to close down his ACW when he bought Red's Gym. Anarchy Championship Wrestling started up at that time and began running in "The Venue." While some of the wrestlers who had been working for Prince Fontenot's ACW became part of Anarchy, many did not.
I was not a part of either promotion at that time so I will not speculate on any behind the scenes activities. I can tell you, from the very first Guilty by Association, it was clear to the fans that Anarchy Championship Wrestling was something entirely different than American Championship Wrestling, or any other wrestling company in San Antonio for that matter.
