Great matches, great drama. and great selections at the merchandise table.
The highlight for me was the Dell-Spiro-Palmer match. Incredible psychology between the three, and I loved how Spiro seemed to be still on board with the Takeover, albeit reluctantly.
Excellent. Good to see Spiro getting his mind right.
Daizee Haze = Phenomenal athlete.
Best I've seen LaMotta.
And last but not least, Garza...made a major impact tonight.
Garza rules.

And it was great to see VINCE VILE in ACW! Hope to see more of this talented wrestler in the future.
Even though he was booked in the "Ugliest Match Ever".

Matches of the night: Lamotta vs. Vexx; Haze vs. Summerlyn.
Moments of the night: Centerfold's balcony dive; Garza puts himself in #1 contendership
A great show all around with lots more in-ring action than some of the other Austin shows. A rematch between Lamotta & Vexx would be awesome and I think they could put on a completely different match than this one.

Personally, I saw that more as the beginning of Garza bringing Vexx over to his side - That's what I hope happened.
Bottom line: Garza rules. And if Vexx and him join forces I might back that even more than the Takeover.

The Submission Squad was so outright badass last night it almost makes me want to like them.
And if it were just Abernathy & Gelistico (and of course, ATHENA), I could.
But as long as Jay & Vega are involved, there's no way.

Liked LaMotta's serious attitude last night.
Wish Jessica James would get more serious again.

r k Gary Jay is the best heel in ACW. No one is more fun to yell at. The Squad was definately on tonight and proved themselves to be the strongest faction in ACW.

r kThat would be very interesting; a Vexx/Garza alliance. I think it was 100% about the championship though, he essentially guaranteed himself a title match by laying out Vexx.

r k That would be very interesting; a Vexx/Garza alliance. I think it was 100% about the championship though, he essentially guaranteed himself a title match by laying out Vexx. He doesn't really guarantee a title shot by doing that, especially since ACW seems to be pretty strict about title matches going acccording to rankings.
And Garza doesn't seem rankings or title motivated to me. He doesn't even seem motivated by winning to me. He's motivated by something a lot more complex than that. He's the type who would give up a win if a loss would cause more damage to his chosen adversary. Look at how he missed matches (including the Lone Star!) just to frustrate Plisken and keep him off balance. In fact, I think he even willfully lost in the 10-man last night, just to create the four-on-one beatdown scenario for the Squad on Bravo. I get Garza. I think I know why Garza wants Vexx with him, but I'll let Garza answer that as it unfolds.
And like I said, Garza rules.

Yes, he gets good heat and it's entertaining, but I don't think he works the heel role as good as a number of others in ACW.

Some hints that the Takeover might be moving toward Portia Perez joining their group.
If so...wrong choice. She's not a team player and not only that, but it also means Robert Evans is starting to have way too much influence on the group (and I found out last night that I'm not the only fan who believes he doesn't belong there).
On the one hand, I get it; that the Takeover is completely title motivated and wants the top championship material, but as a long term strategy it's a poor one.
The Submission Squad scored the win there by getting Athena. She doesn't have the best win-loss record but she's without a doubt the best female choice in ACW to join and strengthen a clique. She proved that last night, that she's willing to put herself on the line for the team.
Super Electro, on the other hand, was a great choice by Dell, but even that's starting to be overly influenced by Evans.

Overall a great night, The Palmer match was great and full of energy and you could feel the seriousness behind the match.
SS gets more and more badass each time, well other then Gary Jay and Vega, Athena was a solid add and I am actual curious to where they are going from here. Still want to see the Smurfs rope them in. Even while the smurfs shrink...
The Vile/Sin etc match was entertaining as large matches go until Summer and Lynn cleaned house. ACH vs the returning Awesome Andy was good and a suprise. Evans put on a solid match against Vega.
Of course Jessica did an entertaining job. Daizee vs Summerlynn was a great match. LaMatta vs Vexx was classic and of course McLovin.
I really thought Finchett and Masters had a chance at the belt, but Fitchett had a bad night.
Lynn/Summer vs Masada/Biohazared was them being solid as always.
Now the Texas vs St. Louis...I was highly disapointed. I will give credit to St. Louis they did a great job. Thanks to Lillie Mae and JC Bravo for holding up for a long while, it did take 3 submission guys to take out JC Bravo.

I think it took all of them because they wanted it to take all of them.
I'm willing to back the Smurfs against the Squad, mostly because I can't stand Vega and Jay, but after seeing that I'm not so sure.
Smurfs need to get serious about putting a hard, solid team together for a war like this, and that certainly wasn't it.

I like them both, but Fitchett doesn't seem like a team guy to me.
If ACW gives that pre-show kid from 02/21, Randy Cruzz, another chance I think he'd make a great partner for Masters.
Seems like he had a good attitude, would be good on a team, and could click well with Masters.
That's a team I'd like to see.

Sub Squad is hard freaking CORE now. And props to them for it. Lillie Mae was the only one on Bravo's tream anywhere near ready for the match that one was.
And I'm including Bravo in that.

Agreed, the first round of the war went to St. Louis, hopefully with a pissed off Chingo and JC now knowing what they are up against they can rally the team, which I suppose now consists of Lillie Mae and Wolfe to do better in the 2nd round.

Gary Jay is a GREAT heel. Though after seeing the face below his waist, I might not jeer him as much! Don't think there's enough Purell or Nair in Austin to protect me.
